Hi, I’m Joanne Hope the founder of sensory friendly clothing brand Diverse MMX clothing.
For the past four years, I’ve been on a deeply personal journey of learning and discovery through my incredible child, who is autistic—or as some prefer, neurodivergent.
As I became more involved in the neurodiverse community, I kept hearing the same stories: not enough inclusive, sensory-friendly clothing options, or children going through shirts rapidly because of fidgeting or chewing habits. These stories touched my heart, and I knew I wanted to help.
I’ve been machine embroidering for years—a passion that started with my beloved Nanna who lovingly passed the family’s sewing and stitching duties on to me.
That’s how Diverse MMX Clothing was born. We design stylish, sensory, and functional clothing that meets the real needs of neurodivergent individuals—without sacrificing fashion or comfort. Every day, we’re dreaming up new ideas and adding thoughtful features to our collection.
The name Diverse MMX represents the Diversity and Equal Opportunities Act of 2010—MMX in Roman numerals—because we believe in inclusion, representation, and celebrating every unique mind and body.
